The enhancement of cavitation yield by bi-beam irradiation of pulsed ultras
ound has been studied using electric detection method. The cavitation yield
of hi-beam irradiation of pulsed ultrasound has been obtained under the pe
ak intensity of higher than 5 W/cm(2) with frequency of 1.06 MHz to be abou
t 3 times of the sum of the yield of two separate single irradiations. This
result is of significance for sonochemistry technology.
