Abstract
The association of an inorganic/organic composite matrix with a permselecti ve poly(4-vinylpyridine-co-styrene) membrane allows to obtain a selective g lucose biosensor, allowing a sensitivity of 30 mA M-1 cm(-2), for a linear dynamic range from 10(-5) M to 1.5 mM. Moreover, the combined use of such p ermselective membranes with a bienzymatic system, glucose oxidase/polypheno l oxidase, has demonstrated that the effect of electroactive interferent sp ecies such as ascorbate, mate and p-acetaminophen, can be entirely removed.
