A multicomponent solid phase Tsuge reaction has been developed for automate
d synthesis. A production protocol satisfying the requirements of high thro
ughput synthesis (960 compounds/week) is described. Isoxazole-fused tetrahy
droindolizines 7 were produced as mixtures of diastereoisomers, generally i
n a >9:1 ratio.
