Abstract
Telomerization of 1,1,3,3-tetramethyl-1,3-disilacyclobutane with hydrosilan es is facilitated by UV irradiation in the presence of Pt(acac)(2). When ol efin is also present, photoactivated hydrosilylation competes with telomeri zation. The dependence of product distribution on the reactivity of the hyd rosilanes and the olefins was studied.
