Abstract
Co(II)-catalyzed triethylsilylperoxygenations of allylic alcohols 5 followe d by acid catalyzed desilylative cyclizations with a pendant keto group fur nished new types of 1,2,4-trioxanes 1-3 under very mild conditions in moder ate yields. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
