Abstract
The thermodynamic properties of the solid compound phases in the Ni-Si syst em were optimized by means of the nonlinear Bayes algorithm. A consistent s et of thermodynamic data consisting of the enthalpies and entropies of form ations and the heat capacity functions is derived. The validity of the data is shown by computation of a well investigated chemical reaction. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
