Abstract
Quartz crystal microbalances (QMB) have been coated by thin films of differ ent metal complexes of protoporphyrin IX dimethyl ester (M-PPIX), deposited by electropolymerization technique. The structure of these films has been characterized by scanning tunnelling microscopy (STM). The sensory behaviou r of the obtained QMB have been studied in the presence of four volatile or ganic compounds (VOC). (C) 1999 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
