Oncologic operations at the Department of Gynecology, General Hospital Zabok (1994-1998)

Our results in minimal invasive surgery in the field of gynecologic oncolog y are presented. In the last years laparoscopy became widely accepted in th e field of gynecologic operations especially for the treatment of benign ad nexal masses, or benign tumors of corpus uteri. The use of laparoscopy for the treatment of malignant gynecological tumors is still controversial, but it is becoming more and more dominant, as many works show. In our department we perform more laparoscopic procedures than classic operations, and we believe that this policy will continue.
