Short- and long-term experiments in mice were conducted to examine the effe
cts of medroxyprogesterone acetate (MPA), danazol, tamoxifen (TAM), toremif
en (TOR), Glycyrrhizae radix (G1 radix) extract, glycyrrhizin (GL) and Juze
n-taiho-to on mouse endometrial carcinogenesis. MPA, danazol, TOR, G1 radix
, GL and Juzen-taiho-to treatments decreased the levels of c-fos/jun mRNA a
nd their oncoproteins. Meanwhile, TAM-treatment increased their expressions
. Using endometrial carcinogenesis models, the above chemicals were examine
d for 30 weeks. MPA, danazol, TOR, G1 radix, GL and Juzen-taiho-to treatmen
ts showed inhibitory effects on endometrial carcinogenesis, meanwhile TAM s
howed enhancing effects.
