K. Hoshimoto et al., Regulation of dosage of conjugated equine estrogen in add-back therapy foruterine myoma and menopausal symptoms, 9TH INTERNATIONAL MENOPAUSE SOCIETY WORLD CONGRESS ON THE MENOPAUSE, 1999, pp. 189-193
It is difficult to keep serum estradiol (E-2) levels in therapeutic window
(TW) by administering 0.625 mg conjugated equine estrogen (CEE) either dail
y or every other day in add-back therapy for uterine myoma. The aim of this
study is to regulate the dosage of CEE to keep serum E-2 levels in TW and
to evaluate improvement in postmenopausal symptoms induced by GnRH analog.
In 78% of patients, the regulation of dosage of CEE granules kept E-2 level
s in TW and our method of add-back therapy was also effective for the impro
vement in postmenopausal symptoms.
