Abstract
Cerebral blood flow was detected by using Doppler flow Parameters in Logido p 5 Kranzbuhler equipment. Using this methodology we assessed now velocity in common carotid arteries, internal carotid arteries and suprablock spinal arteries. The pulsatility index was calculated on the base of the end-syst olic flow and the end-diastolic now. The results showed no significant changes in vascular structure of head and neck arteries in all groups. However in the first group of postmenopausal women the pulsatility index was lower as compared to control group. It was observed in all parts of carotid flow and was associated with less arteries elasticity in postmenopausal women. In summary, Doppler flow parameters de tected changes which indicate decreased vessels elasticity in early postmen opausal period non-depending the age of menopause.
