W. Xiong et al., Artifacts caused by transmitter/receiver malposition in ultrasound reflection mode computer tomography, ACT PHY C E, 8, 1999, pp. S105-S109
The spectra and image artifacts caused by transmitters and receivers erring
from their designed positions are studied in ultrasound reflection mode co
mputer tomography under the ray assumption. Malposition changes the project
ion-slice spectrum relationship. A ghost modulates the reconstructed images
,and the resolution ability of the imaging system declines. An approache mu
st be found to reduce the influence of transducer malposition in a high pre
cision system.
