We investigate single bubble sonoluminescence using various types of waves
as the drive sound, such as a rectangular triangular or saw-toothed wave, o
r sine wave with a short pulse. We use the Rayleigh-Plesset equation and th
e adiabatic mode to describe the bubble's behavior. The different effects o
f these different types of drive sounds have been studied by numerical calc
ulation. We find that adding a pulse to the drive sound can improve the int
ensity of the sonoluminescence.
