Abstract
In this article the author constructs an effective difference scheme for th e solution of coupled dynamic electroelasticity problems for finite-dimensi onal solids. Such a construction is based on the energy conservation law fo r the electromechanical system and the definition of generalised solutions for the corresponding differential problem. Results of computational experi ments are presented for hollow piezoceramic cylinders in the two-dimensiona l case. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Inc. All rights reserved.
