Abstract
A new difunctional photorefractive model molecule, 3-azo-4'-nitro-9-ethyl-c arbazole was synthesized and its structure was characterized by H-1 NMR and UV spectra, The results from Time-of-Flight experiment show that the sampl e exhibited good photoconductivity not only by hole transport but also by e lectron transport, which may be due to the reason that the molecule formed not only a delocalized system but also charge-transport complex, and contri buted to its charge carrier mobility.
