Abstract
Cutaneous mucormycosis is a rare but serious infection in trauma patients. Reported here is the case of a young patient with cutaneous mucormycosis du e to Absidia corymbifera probably caused by a soil-contaminated wound. Desp ite daily surgical debridement and amphotericin B therapy, cure could be ac hieved only by amputation of the lower limb.
