Abstract
Endoscopy plays an important role in the diagnosis and treatment of acute a nd chronic pancreatitis as well as pancreatic cancer. Sphincterotomy and st one removal in biliary pancreatitis, stone extraction and drainage in chron ic pancreatitis, and stent implantation in pancreatic cancer are the predom inant procedures. With endoscopy, minimal invasive techniques are at hand t o solve urgent and long term problems.
