Abstract
This correspondence shows how value sets and the zero exclusion principle c an be used to obtain results on the robust stability and design of controll ers against a special infinite-dimensional II norm bounded parametric uncer tainty in both numerator and denominator of scaler discrete-time plants. Th is parametric uncertainty has properties of both parametric and unstructure d uncertainty and allows standard H-infinity design tools to be used withou t conservatism.
