The complexes [(1,2-C5H3(C(Ph)NH)(2))]MR2, M = Al, R = Cl (1), Me (3), Et (
4), CH2Ph (5), Ph (6), M = Ga, R = Cl (2), Me (7), Et (8), CH2Ph (9), Ph (1
0), are readily prepared. X-ray studies of 1-3 suggest a charge separation
and thus electrophilic metal centers.
