Abstract
The energy and angular distributions of photoelectrons in the photoionizati on of an atom or ion by powerful laser radiation are calculated. The result s obtained are valid for all values of the Keldysh parameter gamma. Linear and circular polarizations of the light are considered. (C) 1999 American I nstitute of Physics.
