Abstract
Palmar dislocations of the proximal interphalangeal (PIP) joint are associa ted with long term complications if suboptimally treated. Six cases of palm ar dislocation of the PIP joint are presented and a systematic approach in the diagnosis and management of such injuries in the accident and emergency department is described.
