Abstract
Photochemical behavior of 2-[(1,3,3-trimethylindoline-2(1H)-ylidene)propen- 1-yl]-3,3-dimethylindolino[1,2-b]-oxazolidine was investigated in different solvents. The results obtained indicate that in solution the compound may exist in the two forms (closed and open forms) depending on solvent polarit y and proticity, Solvent and structure effects on the closed --> open form process were studied.
