Abstract
The synthesis, and spectroscopic and structural characterization of a serie s of hybrid PAni/V2O5 materials are reported. We have performed a systemati c study of the synthesis of the hybrids by direct in situ reaction of anili ne with V2O5 hydrogels and have determined key parameters for the reproduci bility of the materials obtained. We have established the existence of two phases in the PAni/V2O5 system corresponding to the intercalation of one an d two monolayers of PAni into V2O5. The characterization of these materials includes FTIR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, Thermogravimetric analyses, and resistivity measurements. (C) 1999 Academic Press.
