The division of pulsars into groups on the basis of cluster analysis a
nd the main components method is studied. Pulsars with periods P > 1 s
and P < 0.1 s form two separate classes; the short-period objects (P
< 0.1 s), in turn, divide into two groups. One of these consists of yo
ung pulsars that form in the Galactic plane or in globular clusters, w
hile the other group consists of spun-up pulsars.
