Abstract
Two types of copolymers based on N-maleyl glycine with acrylic acid an d acrylamide were synthesized. Radical copolymerizations were performe d in dioxane at 70 degrees C with AIBN as the initiator. The monomer r eactivity ratios were determined using the Kelen-Tudos method. FT-IR, H-1-NMR, and C-13-NMR spectroscopy as well as elemental analysis were used for the characterization of the copolymers. The comonomer content of the copolymers and the reactivity ratios were calculated from thes e data.
