Abstract
A 43-year-old Japanese male vagrant collapsed suddenly in a police sta tion. The man was resuscitated in hospital but died about 13 h later. An autopsy revealed necrotizing fasciitis in the genitalia and lower a bdominal wall. The man was considered to have died from endotoxic shoc k following on Fournier's gangrene.
