Abstract
There are a number of new, dramatic developments that likely will character ize the '00s environment. As organizations deal with bigger, stronger and m ore agile competition, cope with mixed economic growth, and address the ram ifications of e-commerce, they will need to rethink the rules of strategic planning and the role and techniques of human resource management.
