Abstract
This review first addresses several general aspects of the immunotherapy of multiple sclerosis. Next, two approved immunomodulatory treatments, interf eron-beta and copolymer-1 (glatiramer acetate), are reviewed in more detail . Finally, other immunosuppressive therapies and experimental strategies ar e briefly discussed.
