Abstract
Based on a model correlation function which covers spatial correlations fro m Gaussian to exponential, we have arrived at an exact analytic solution of the problem of the Boson peak profile in amorphous media. Probe fits made for polyisoprene and triacetin prove the working ability of the formulae ob tained. (C) 1999 Published by Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
