Abstract
An eight-day excursion examined the geology of the Connemara Metamorphic Co
mplex, the Galway Granite and associated intrusive rocks, and the Lower Pal
aeozoic of the South Mayo Trough in Co. Galway and Co. Mayo; and in Co. Gla
re, the Carboniferous Limestone of the Burren and the Upper Carboniferous s
andstone sequences of Moher were seen.
