Abstract
An experimental study was made of the influence of a periodically varying m agnetic field (PVMF) on the power and noise of the radiation of a He-Ne las er, excited by a transverse microwave discharge and emitting at a wavelengt h of 0.63 mu m. An increase in the output power on exposure to the PVMF was observed. The maximum increment in the output power reached 90% for a PVMF of H = 105 Oe intensity. The effect of such a field increased by 10% -15% the laser radiation noise in the frequency range 10-2000 Hz.
