Abstract
A 50-year-old man presented in 1994 with Parsonage-Turner syndrome of the r ight shoulder in the absence of identifiable precipitating factors. Two yea rs later, he experienced similar symptoms in the other shoulder. The muscle wasting and motion range limitation resolved fully after both episodes. Th e relevant literature is reviewed. Emphasis is But on the favorable outcome , on the value of physical therapy, and on the fact that the various forms of neuralgia of the shoulder with muscle wasting are on the same continuum.
