Abstract
Starting from a modified effective mass equation in the presence of a magne tic field, spin-orbit interaction and exchange interactions due to magnetic impurities, a systematic analysis of the anisotropic g-factor and effectiv e masses in Pb1-xEuxTe has been made. Carrier contributions to these quanti ties are also considered. In all these calculations, anisotropies are found to be appreciable. Agreement with experimental results, when available, is reasonably good. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
