Abstract
In order to describe how a conduction calorimeter works, a novel model, nam ely the interfacial model of a conduction calorimeter, has been proposed in this paper. Based on the model, a corresponding analog thermo-analytical c urve equation has also been established. For verification of its validity, thermo-analytical curves of alkaline hydrolysis of ethyl propionate and eth yl acetate have been measured at 25 degrees C, respectively. The data calcu lated by this model are in reasonable agreement with those read from the th ermo-analytical curves. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
