Analytical chemistry in the national oil scenario. Evidences of twenty five years of technological development

This article deals with the development of expertises in Analytical Chemist ry in the Analysis and Evaluation Department of PDVSA-Intevep during the tw enty five years of R&D activities and especialized technical servicies. Thi s development has always been circumscribed in providing support to the bas ic operations of the Venezuelan petroleum industry and to the many differen t technical projects established by intevep Business Units. To answer the d ay to day problems confronted in he operations, and also to create its own technology aiming at reducing he technological gap and at the same time, bu ilding up the Corporation competitiveness in the internal and international marker through the introduction of our technological products, i.e, more e fficient procedures, systems, processes, materials catalysts and products.
