We studied and classified patients coming to the Allergy Laboratory to be t
ested for positive allergens. We found that not all the patients with aller
gy problems got results according to medical diagnosis, perhaps because of
the given medication. "Cor" are immunosuppressants but is not always unders
tood the lowering of the IgE specific titers.
This study consists of 5918 cases, that were investigated for this purpose,
between 1987 and 1998 (11 years), and a selection was done. Respiratory pro
blems were found in 3460 cases (58.5%), and only 455 were glucocorticoids "
Cor" medicated. With the help of doctors we asked a group of 184 patients,
to change "Cor" medication to anhistamine, before being Rast-Cap allergy te
sted or retested.(see paper A, B, and C). Also a group of 271 patients with
out "Cor" intake suspension was allergy test searched. In those groups we f
ound that the total asthma cases were 133 and we separated them into age gr
oups: 0 to 15 and 16 - 90 years old.
