Maternal BMI and asthma in young children

Asthma has been linked to obesity in women and in children. We analyzed the relationship between asthma prevalence in children and body mass index (BM I) of children and their parents. Children whose mothers are overweight are more likely to have asthma, even if the children themselves are not overwe ight.
