The Stark broadening parameters for six Au I lines and eight Au II transiti
ons have been calculated. Two methods for calculation have been used: the s
emi classical method (for Au I lines) and the modified semiempirical approa
ch (for Au II transitions). In the case of Au II, the jj coupling approxima
tion has been used for the matrix-element calculations. The importance of t
he electron-impact effect in the case of Au II lambda = 174.0476 nm line fo
r several stellar atmosphere models has been tested.
