Abstract
Islet neogenesis-associated protein (INGAP) is a protein expressed during i slet neogenesis. We have cloned a novel cDNA having a similar sequence to I NGAP cDNA. The cDNA encodes 175 amino acids designated INCAP-related protei n (INGAPrP). INGAP is expressed in cellophane-wrapped pancreas, but not in normal pancreas, whereas INGAPrP was abundantly expressed in normal pancrea s. (C) 2000 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.
