Abstract
alpha-Fluorovinyldiphenylmethylsilane was synthesized in one step from 1,1- difluoroethylene; the TBAF-initiated reaction of the silane with carbonyl c ompounds smoothly proceeded to give the corresponding alpha-fluoroallylic a lcohols in good yields.
