Synthesis and characterization of a novel palladium(II) complex polymer having network structure with guest water molecules

The polymeric palladium complex of [Pd3K6(i-mnt)(3)(H2O)(2)](n) (i-mnt = [( S2C = C(CN)(2)](2-)) has been prepared from the reaction of PdCl2 and K-2[( S2C=C(CN)(2)] in CH3CN. The complex has three dimensional network structure , in which two Pd, two K, Four S, Four N and twelve C atoms form a 24-membe red ring, and the rings are further arranged in eclipsed configuration alon g c axis to give a channel with H2O as guest molecules.
