Studying the behaviour of null geodesics in Bonnor's rotating dust cloud so lution reveals a peculiar central region. This region cannot be penetrated by null geodesics from spatial infinity. Conversely, null geodesics from wi thin the region cannot extend to spatial infinity. There is no event horizo n.
