Aerophytic Cyanophyceae from New Caledonia.

This paper deals with the aerophytic Cyanophyceae from New Caledonia sample d by Prof. Dr A. Guillaumin from Paris, Dr M.G. Baumann-Bodenheim from Zuri ch, Dr H. Hurlimann from Winterthur and Prof. Baas Pecking from Noumea. A t otal of 124 samples were studied, most of them collected on soil, stones, r ocks and barks. The characteristics of these samples are given. Among speci es, varieties and forms, a total of 85 taxa were recorded. Among them three are new for science, Gloeothece neocaledoniense nov. sp., Hydrocoryne neoc aledonica nov. sp. and Scytonematopsis neocaledoniense nov. sp. One new com bination is proposed, Petalonema invalvens var. elongata (Bourr.) nov. comb . (C) 1999 Adac/Editions scientifiques et medicales Elsevier SAS.
