Abstract
During the investigation of the erosional effects of the rainstorm on 30-31 August 1997 on Mount Fulufjallet, two samples have been radiocarbon age de termined. The results give a maximum age of events occurring earlier. One s ample of an exposed Picea trunk in the sandur of the stream St Goljan was r adiocarbon dated to 1320+/-120 C-14 years BP. The lowermost part of a peat sequence in a soligenous mire in the valley of the stream Tangan was radioc arbon dated to 1455+/-70 C-14 years.
