Abstract
Agrochelin, a new alkaloid cytotoxic substance, was produced by the ferment ation of Agrobacterium sp. The compound was obtained from the bacterial cel ls by solvent extraction and purified by silica gel chromatography. Agroche lin (1) and its acetyl derivative (2) exhibited cytotoxic activity.
