Abstract
A new method for C-C bond formation was developed based on ill situ cyanosi lylation of cyclic Schiff bases using KCN, TMSCl, KI acid ZnI2. This method was used to prepare the potent alpha-glucosidase inhibitor 1,4-dideoxy-1,4 -imino-D-arabinitol C-14 labelled at C-5.
