During the investigation of dyeing properties of reactive dyes containing a
benzimidazolone residue the negative influence of salt concentration on th
eir exhaustion was demonstrated. In the case of model dyes not containing t
he reactive group, change in aggregation state at various temperatures was
investigated. It has been shown that the reactive dyes containing a benzimi
dazolone residue may undergo excessive aggregation in concentrated sodium c
hloride solution. This may cause difficulties in the dyeing process.
