Abstract
We briefly discuss some unusual solutions to the poroelastic equations gove rning dow and deformation within an elastic porous material. These solution s are ideal for testing computer modelling codes used in poroelasticity esp ecially for irregular geometries and nonconstant permeabilities. (C) 1999 E lsevier Science Ltd.
