Abstract
For the investigation of the dynamic properties of dislocation systems diff erent algorithms suitable to run on parallel computers are reviewed. In the first parr of the paper parallel methods of the numerical integration of t he equations of motion of dislocations are outlined. In the second part the concept of stochastic dislocation dynamics is described. Results of numeri cal investigations on dislocation patterning obtained on different parallel computers are also presented.
