Abstract
Interviews with parents of adult children with mental retardation were conducted to identify differences in caregiver burdens and gratificat ions, based on in-home and out-of-home placement. Parental responses i ndicate that caretakers of adult children with mental retardation are worried and feel responsibility for their care regardless of residenti al placement of the adult child.
